1. Current Status
Parallel Globe is in active development. Full accessibility support for users with disabilities has not yet been implemented across all areas of the platform. We acknowledge this limitation openly and are committed to addressing it as the platform develops.
2. Our Commitment
Parallel Globe believes that political discourse should be open to everyone, regardless of ability or assistive technology. Accessibility is a recognised priority in our development roadmap, and we are working towards meaningful compliance with established accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) at the AA level.
3. Display and Feed Preferences
Parallel Globe provides the following display and feed settings, enabling users to tailor their experience to their individual needs and preferences:
- Theme Mode — Select between a Light or Dark display theme. This setting supports users with visual sensitivities or those who prefer reduced screen brightness.
- Blur Feed Images — When enabled, images containing violent or distressing content — including imagery relating to conflict and war — are blurred by default within the feed. Users may choose to reveal individual images at their own discretion. This setting is Off by default and may be enabled at any time via user preferences.
- Default Feed View — Choose which feed is displayed by default upon opening the platform: My Globe (a personalised feed) or Country (the national feed for your registered Country Space). This setting allows users to orient their experience towards the content most relevant to them.
These settings are accessible within the platform’s user preferences and do not require additional configuration.
4. Assistance
If you experience difficulty accessing any part of the platform or require assistance, please contact us directly. We aim to assist where reasonably possible and take user feedback into account during development.
